Conference in Baytown, Texas/Conferencia en Baytown, Texas

This past Monday and Tuesday the Lord gave me the opportunity to preach for Pastor Isaias Rodriguez at the Victory Baptist Church in Baytown, Texas.  Pastor Rodriguez started this church three years ago and on Sunday they had 300 for their big day.  Praise the Lord!  God is using this young man in a tremendous way.  Their big day was followed by a revival conference.  They had a great attendance with several churches represented in the conference.  Many decisions were made and lives were changed for His glory.  I preached Monday night on "Betrayed" talking about the different people who betrayed Jesus and how they represent people today who betray Him.  On Tuesday I preached on "The Holy Spirit Misinterpreted" saying that the main purpose for the Holy Spirit existing in us today is to help us bring a bride to the Son of God.  It was a soul-winning sermon.

Este pasado Lunes y Martes el Señor me dio la oportunidad de predicar para el Pastor Isaias Rodriguez en la Iglesia Bautista Victoria en Baytown, Texas.  El Pastor Rodriguez comenzo esta iglesia tres años atras y el Domingo ellos tuvieron 300 en su dia grande.  ¡Gloria al Señor!  Dios esta usando a este joven en una manera tremenda.  Su dia grande fue seguido por una conferencia de avivamiento.  Ellos tuvieron una gran asistencia con varias iglesias representadas en la conferencia.  Muchas decisiones fueron hechas y vidas fueron cambiadas. El Lunes en la noche predique sobre "Traicionado" hablando de las diferentes personas que traicionaron a Jesus y como ellos representan a personas hoy que lo traicionan a El.  El Martes predique sobre "El Espiritu Santo Mal Interpretado" diciendo que el proposito principal para la existencia del Espiritu Santo en nosotros es ayudarnos a traerle una esposa al Hijo de Dios.  Fue un sermon de ganar almas.

This is one of the 42 missionaries our church supports, Missionary Luis Garcia and his family, from Villa Corona Jalisco, Mexico.  Bro. Garcia was in our church last night and gave us an update of the great things God is doing in Villa Corona.  He also preached a great message to our poeple from Philippians 1:6 telling us that our investment in Villa Corona will be fulfilled by He who began the work through us.  It was an encouragement to all of us and no doubt we were challenged to keep investing in the mission field.  Bro. Luis and his family were a great blessing to us and our people were very happy to see them come home for a visit.  Thank you Bro. Luis and Susana for doing a great job and making our investment count in Heaven.  We love you!

Yesterday was our Church's 11th anniversary.  Our goal was to have 400 in attendance, but unfortunately we didn't make our goal.  We had over 370 with 10 public professions of faith.  We praise the Lord anyways for the results.  Our people worked hard and the truth is we have maxed out this building to the point that if we want to have more poeple in attendance we are going to have to split the services or go to another location.  What a wonderful problem to have!  At night we had a packed out house and a great service.  Everyone brought a gift to the church and after the service we had lots of food and a very good "Tres Leches Cake".  Happy Anniversary Iglesia Bautista Fundamental!

Ayer tuvimos el aniversario 11 de nuestra Iglesia.  Nuestra meta fue tener 400 en asistencia, pero desafortunadamente no llegamos a nuestra meta.  Tuvimos mas de 370 con 10 profesiones publicas de fe.  Alabamos a Dios por los resultados de todos modos.  Nuestra gente trabajo duro y la verdad es que hemos llegado a la capacidad maxima de este edificio y si queremos tener mas gente en asistencia tendremos que dividir los servicios o irnos a otro lugar.  ¡Que maravilloso problema a tener!  En la noche tuvimos la casa llena y un gran servicio.  Todos le trajeron un regalo a la iglesia y despues del servicio tuvimos mucha comida con un pastel "Tres Leches" bien bueno.  ¡Feliz Aniversario Iglesia Bautista Fundamental!
